The Certified Work-Ready Graduate Certification is a professional credential awarded by Work Readiness Institute (WoRI) to graduates who demonstrate the skills, discipline, and workplace behaviors required to perform effectively in a professional environment.
This certification was developed to address the growing gap between academic qualifications and workplace expectations. Many graduates possess theoretical knowledge but often lack the practical competencies that employers require. The Work-Ready Graduate Certification bridges this gap by combining learning, assessment, and real workplace practice.
The certification is achieved through a three-stage process designed to ensure both knowledge and practical competence.
Participants study structured learning modules based on the 10 Work Readiness Disciplines, which focus on essential workplace behaviors and professional attitudes such as work readiness, accountability, communication, time management, teamwork & collaboration, adaptability, professionalism, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and ethical responsibility.
After completing the learning modules, participants attempt a 100-question Work Readiness Examination covering all ten disciplines. The assessment includes multiple-choice, true/false, matching, and fill-in-the-blank questions.
A minimum pass mark of 60% is required to receive the Work Readiness Certificate and progress to the next stage.
Successful candidates then undertake a 90-day supervised internship with a host employer. During this period, interns apply the ten disciplines in a real workplace environment while being monitored by supervisors using structured evaluation tools.
